Notes
The text is followed by some footnotes, and at the beginning and end there are some supplications and restrictions. It is stated in the entry of the empty copies: (The completion of the editing of this honorable copy, desired among scholars, occurred in the hands of Abd al-Faqir, the despicable, Murtada bin Bashir al-Sukhatah, at the Kasbah of Dayaquh. May God forgive him and his parents and be kind to them and to him and to the author of this book, edited in the middle of Dhul-Qa’dah in the year [sixty and a thousand]).
Sample Text
When I saw many students of knowledge in our time striving for knowledge but not achieving it, and among its benefits and fruits, which are working on it and publishing, they were forbidden because they erred in its methods and abandoned its conditions, and everyone who erred on the path went astray and did not achieve the goal, so I wanted and loved to show them the path of learning according to what I saw in the books and heard from my teachers who are possessors of knowledge and wisdom.
