Notes
The author was a contemporary of Fakhr al-Din al-Razi and was killed in the city of Herat when the Tatars entered it. He has many works on medicine and medical vocabulary, including Causes and Signs, Principles of Formulas, Foods and Drinks for the Healthy, Foods and Drinks for the Sick, Scalpers on the Order of Ailments, and other medical books, most of which will be mentioned in this index. When writing this book, he benefited from Ibn Sina’s book of law, bocratic treatments, and the perfection of the medical industry. The manuscript contains footnotes and explanations copied from Sharh al-Asbab by Nafis bin Awad al-Kirmani.
