Notes	The copy is an explanation of the book Al-Takhlish fi Arithmetic, Algebra and Al-Muqabalah by Abu Al-Abbas Ahmad Ibn Al-Banna Al-Azdi Al-Marakshi (d. 721 AH / 1321 AD). The commentator begins his book with an introduction in five chapters. The first of them is to introduce the author of the book Al-Talkhis, in which he presents his birth, his sheikhs, his writings, his virtues, and his position among Moroccan scholars. As for the second chapter of the introduction, the commentator mentioned the division, classification, and contents of the summary book. The book is written in many scripts, and this mixture of Moroccan and Eastern writing appeared in some works that were copied during the era of Sultan Abu Abbas Ahmad Al-Mansur Al-Saadi (986 AH/1578 AD-1012 AH/1603 AD). Ibn al-Banna himself explained an explanation of his book al-Talkhis, which Hedor mentioned in the introduction to his book. Ibn al-Banna called it Lifting the Veil, “and it is a small book of great benefit, and I saw on it in its author’s handwriting that he composed it one year after the seven hundred,” as Hedor al-Tadli said.
