The author is a hypothetical, astronomer, mathematician, and grammarian. He is originally from Damascus, born and raised in Cairo, and temporarily appointed to the Al-Azhar Mosque. Among his works are: Tuhfat Al-Albab fi Arithmetic, Al-Qawl Al-Mubada fi Sharh Al-Muqni’ fi Algebra and Muqabalah. The sufficiency of contentment in working with the cut quarter and explaining the diameter by Ibn Hisham. The manuscript is a treatise in which the author summarized the issues of the entire quarter and arranged them into an introduction and twenty chapters (in Kashf al-Zunun it was mentioned that it was in 15 chapters). It has some comments.
