Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ali Al-Fakihi (d. 972 AH / 1564 AD) wrote a book on grammar that he called “Al-Hudud fi Grammar,” then he explained it and wrote a preamble to it, which he called “Explanation of the Definition of Al-Hudud.” These are restrictions on it, and we did not find any mention of them nor of the author.

The poor Abu al-Naja Muhammad al-Shafi’i al-Janaji al-Maki (sic) says: These are restrictions on the preamble to Allama al-Fakihi’s explanation, which I collected when I began reading it with some of the brothers. Whatever was wrong in it came from myself, and whoever was right came from someone else, and God grants success to what is right.
