Notes
The manuscript is reviewed and contains corrections and comments. I wrote the titles in red ink, and underlined important words in red. The letter contains twenty questions and their answers. He mentioned at the beginning that Rukn al-Din al-Astarabadi said: “I wrote to Nasir al-Din al-Tusi for two matters: one to resolve and reveal what is the truth, and the second to be an honorable writing that he would mention to the sincere servant.”
Sample Text
The first, the logicians said, regarding the reason why people need logic, is that the sciences are divided into innate and intellectual; The intellectual acquires from the innate what is thought, and in thought the mistake is made by contradicting one person with another person, and contradicting himself at two different times. Therefore, there must be a law whose observance prevents a person from going astray.
