The author has arranged his book into many chapters, including: Chapter One: On horsemanship, Chapter Two: On the classes of horses, Chapter Three: On the characteristic of the desirable parts of the horse, such as length and shortness, Chapter Four: On the image of a healthy horse, and this chapter includes a schematic image of a healthy horse. Chapter Five: On the hajorah and its signs. Chapter Six: On the conditions of the dowry and its mark and on the colors of the animals. Chapter Seven: On the colors of the animals. Chapter Eight: On things and conditions. Chapter Nine: On things. Lists and Tahjil, Chapter Ten: In the circles mentioned by the Arabs; Thus, the author reaches Chapter Thirty-Six and then moves on to treatments and prescriptions for medications.

Notes Al-Karmali said at the beginning of this copy that it was quoted from an old copy that was with its owner, Mullah Ibrahim bin Hamid, and was dated to the year 1021 AH/1612 AD. It was purchased by the Old Antiquities House in Baghdad, but it is devoid of the Book of Zardaqa that can be seen at the end of this copy. The version includes medical benefits at the end.
