In this book, the author collected the vocabulary of medical drugs that were mentioned in medical books, arranged them according to the letters of the alphabet, and called it Al-Jami’, because it combines medicine and food. It was also called the vocabulary of Ibn Al-Bitar, as stated in Kashf Al-Zunun (1772/2).

The author is a botany and medicine scientist. He traveled from Andalusia to the East, came to Egypt and the Levant, traveled to the land of the Agarves, and died in Damascus. Among his books are a collection of vocabulary of medicines and foods, The Clarification of the Defects and Illusions in Methods, Strange Actions and Marvelous Properties, Al-Mughni in Individual Medicines, Medicines in the Book of Dioscures. (Dictionary of Authors 6-22) Brockelmann 1-492, dh_Brockelmann 1-896-897 (the author is mentioned as Muhammad ibn Ahmad). - This part ends with the letter Kha.
