Notes
On the first sheet of paper he wrote, in blue ink, from the interpretation of Ibn Atiyyah Al-Andalusi, “Al-Jami’ Al-Muharrar Al-Wajeez.” The names of the surahs and chapters of poverty are written in a larger font.
This copy was mentioned in the previous catalog of manuscripts of Al-Dahiriyya Ulum Al-Qur’an by Dr. Azza Hassan.
Sample Text
People disagreed about this and similar seals and imprints, whether it is a reality or a metaphor. The truth in this is not impossible, and the permissibility is also eloquent, that is, since these meanings were obstructive in bodies and elusive, they were borrowed in hearts that God Almighty has hardened and kept far from good. As for the humility in the ears, it is a clear metaphor because we feel the disbelievers listening to the supplication for guidance... The Almighty’s saying: “And your Lord is the Forgiving, the Possessor of Mercy. If He had punished them for what they have earned, the punishment would certainly hastened for them” (Al-Kahf: 58).
