The author said that the matters that deserve the attribute of astrology are geometry, arithmetic, and number, then the shape of the world and the rulings of the stars... Therefore, the author began his book on the science of geometry and arithmetic and what is related to them, starting with points, lines, shapes, bodies, angles, ratio, proportion, numbers, algebra, and comparison. His treatment of these sciences was similar to the introduction, then he dealt with the sciences of astronomy and astrology, and he provided his book with geometric and astronomical forms, tables, and calendars.
