This is a commentary in which I collected the events of time since my birth in the year seven hundred and seventy-three, and so on, detailing in each year the conditions of countries and the deaths of notables, accommodating the narrators of the hadith, especially those I met or permitted to me, and most of what I mentioned in it was what I saw or learned from someone I referred to or found in a handwriting I trust from among my sheikhs and my rank... This book (or something close to this word) improves among the books of events to be a footnote to the history of Al-Hafiz Imad. Al-Din Ibn Katheer, in the end of his history, he ended this year, and among the books on obituaries, it should be a footer to the obituaries compiled by Al-Hafiz Taqi al-Din Ibn Rafi’... In this version, he ended in the year eight hundred and fifty, and he mentions the incidents in each year first, then moves on to the obituaries in them, striving to make them according to the letters of the dictionary, and it is a good, extensive history and biographies. The author's draft contains many additions, footnotes, additional pasted papers, and deletions.
