It is stated in the body of the book that the commentator is Aydmar bin Ali Al-Jaldaki. The copy includes an explanation of one book, “The Book of the Greater Sun,” and evidence indicates that the explanation was compiled after the sixth century AH, as it contains quotes from the collection of “Shadhur al-Dhahab” by Abu al-Hasan Ali al-Ansari al-Jiani Ibn Arfa’ Ras.

The commentator, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said: This book is among the things that were translated in the days of Al-Ma’mun, as well as in the days of Khalid bin Yazid, and it was transferred from the Greek language to the Arabic language, and at the beginning: [In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful]. This is the book The Seven in the Compilations by Belinas the Wise.
