As for what someone wrote about it being the second volume, it is a mistake because the second volume has the call number “3005.” It has comments and corrections in its margins, and the titles are distinguished by their large size. At the end, there is a entry for reading the first by Muhammad ibn al-Shihna, and the second by al-Badr al-Bastili, and he mentioned that he finished it as a comment.
Sample Text Malik, I said: Likewise, more than one person said that he is Malik, and it was said: He is Saeed bin Al-Musayyab. He said: Khalid bin Nizar Al-Aili: Abu Jaafar Al-Mansur sent a message to Malik when he came to Medina, and said: The people have disagreed in Iraq, so prepare for the people a book on which we can unite them, so he established the Muwatta. Ibn Wahb said: On the authority of Malik, he said: I entered upon Abu Jaafar several times, and no one of the Hashemites and others would enter upon him without kissing his hand, but I never kissed his hand.
