Notes
The author is from the Maliki jurists, Seville, who resided in Tunisia. A jurist, commentator, logician, and theologian. Among his works are: The Forty Questions on the Fundamentals of Religion according to the doctrine of the Sunnis, The Language of Science in relation to theology, Explanation of the Ahl al-Uqsari System in Monotheism, and the honorable approach in objecting to many logicians. Attributing it to the distributor of a large village in Yemen on the pilgrim’s route from Aden (Mu’jam al-Buldan 5/221), an interpreter, and a scholar of principles. Things happened to him with the Sufis of his time that showed his merit.
