Notes - A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the National Library in Paris, written on parchment in Kufic script, (No. 6726 Arabic Books). In the handwriting of Ibn al-Sakit, as mentioned before - Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Al Yassin took care to verify it, comment on it, and publish it, under the title “The History of the Initial Arab Kings”: (Al-Ma’arif Press - Baghdad 1959, 144 pages = text + A-K = introduction + 145 - 170 = indexes. From a copy in the Imam Hassan (peace be upon him) public library in Al-Kadhimiyah, illustrated. With a photograph from the copy of the National Library in Paris. It was issued with an introduction in which he discussed Al-Asma’i’s translation and the collection of his works. Abd al-Malik bin Qarib bin Ali bin Asma’ al-Bahili, Abu Sa’id: the narrator of the Arabs, and one of the imams of knowledge of language, poetry and countries. We discussed - briefly - his translation, in footnote (2) of the book “Al-Istiqāq” written by him: No. (2/ Language: Philology - Morphology - Grammar - Dictionaries). 217802 on the digital portal. It was stated: “... His lineage goes back to his grandfather, Asma’i. There are many stories about him. He was born in Basra, grew up there, then came to Baghdad at the request of Al-Rashid. He used to call him “the devil of poetry.” Al-Akhfash said: We have not seen anyone more knowledgeable about poetry than Al-Asma’i. Al-Shafi’i said about him: No one expressed it better than Al-Asma’i. Al-Mubarrad said: Al-Asma’i was a master of the language and no one like him was known in it and in the abundance of narration. He says: I have memorized ten thousand books, many of his works, on various topics: literature, language, history, genealogies, countries, and more. The author died in Basra and was buried there, and there is disagreement about the year of his death.

I praise God always and forever, and I send my blessings and greetings upon the Prophet of guidance, his family and companions, and I attach them to the caliphate hand in hand.
