Notes
It is one of the pieces about Sifat al-Nisaa al-Mallah. Its composition followed the example of Sheikh Omar bin al-Wardi in his treatise called Al-Kawkab al-Sariyya fi Ma’inah al-Malah, as he mentioned in his introduction. The beginning of the poem is stanza in Maliha Usuliyah: My Usuli love, if it emerges *** I measure it by the maiden of honor, and its branches are the root of beauty in it *** The buttocks and the waist are visible and hidden. Copied from its author’s handwriting from a collection held by Ahmed Bey Taymur. The transcription information is contained in [28b].
