Notes
Its title was mentioned in the two copies of Al-Marashi Al-Najafi: Hashiyat Sharh Al-Adidi on the summary of Ibn Al-Hajib. The scribe generally wrote it in black ink, and used red ink to write only the word: “his saying.” Its copies: Two copies of it are in the library of Al-Marashi Al-Najafi 2/308, and this copy of ours is described in the Aligarh Index 185-184/2 descriptive catalogue, with the same preservation number, and Brockelmann mentioned copies of it in 2/209 and its appendix 2/291. And about the copies of Mirza Jan’s footnote to Sharh Al-Adidi on Mukhtasar Ibn Al-Hajib, see: Brockelmann, appendix 1/538.

From the kindness of God Almighty is the creation of linguistic subjects. This speech clearly indicates that sounds and letters were created by God Almighty, and this is not contradicted by His saying, “I am most able of them to make the sound and break it apart,” as there is no indication that this ability has an effect on creating the sound and breaking it up, but rather that creating the sound by breaking it up was within the servant’s ability.
