Notes
The copyist wrote it generally in black ink on boards colored blue, red, yellow, etc., and used red and black ink to write the text. Its footnotes include a number of sayings by Al-Shibli, Ibn Arabi and others, taken from various sources, narrations from Abu Ya’la and Abu Darda, and poetic verses in Arabic at the end, in addition to some comments in the footnotes in Persian. Copies: Brockelmann mentioned copies of it in 190/1 and his appendix 331/1. 1This is the word “prepared professor,” and I do not know what exactly is meant by it. Perhaps it means: poor or obsolete.
Sample Text
And from Surat Al-Fatihah Al-Kitab, which is Medinan and is said to be Meccan, the Almighty says: [Praise be to God] It says: Thanks be to God... to His creation He baptized (such) and it is said: Thanks be to God... His servants whom He has guided to faith, and it is said: Thanks to the oneness and gift (such) to God who has no son, no partner, no helper, no minister.
