As for what follows, I sought help from God on the night of Monday the twelfth of Jumada Al-Awwal in the year five hundred and ninety-nine at the house of Abu Umayyah in Taif... and I wrote down this booklet for them, which I labeled “Hilyat Al-Abdal and what appears from it.”
