The author was born in the year 461 AH/1068 AD. He is a scholar of interpretation, literature, and history, among the Hanafi jurists, in reference to Nasf, with which he was born, “and he blew up a large city between the Oxus and Samarkand” (Mu’jam al-Buldan 5/284). He has about a hundred works, including: “Al-Akmal Al-Athwal” in interpretation, Al-Ishar bi-Mukhtar min Al-Ash’ar, Nazm Al-Jami’ Al-Saghir in jurisprudence, Al-Aqeed, Al-Qand fi the scholars of Samarkand, Qaid Al-Awabid in jurisprudence, and History of Bukhara.
