Notes
After the supplication, the author begins by praising the mother of Sultan Murad Khan because he worked as a teacher in the school she built in Istanbul. Then he moves on to praise Sultan Murad Khan, son of Sultan Selim Khan Al-Othmani, and enumerates his titles and virtues. It appears that the letter was written based on a royal order.
Sample Text
Glory be to Him in whose hand are the reins of creation and rebirth. There is no god but Him, the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed... And then the breezes of God Almighty’s kindness blew upon me from their slumber, so the face of time was illuminated and the earth shone with the light of its Lord. So God erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day visible and showed me the conditions of the fulfillment of hopes.
