Al-Fanari is Muhammad ibn Hamzah ibn Muhammad Shams al-Din al-Fanari, or al-Fitri al-Rumi. He is a scholar of logic and principles. He was appointed governor of Burusa and rose in status with Sultan Bayezid Khan. He performed Hajj twice. Among his books are Sharh Isagoji, Awisat al-Afkar, Fusool al-Bada’i fi Usul al-Shari’a, Model of Science, Explanation of the Sirajiyah Obligations, and Interpretation of al-Fatihah, and most of his books have been printed.
