Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Al-Hussein Al-Bayhaqi, who died in the year 458 AH / 1065 AD, wrote a book about the life of Al-Shafi’i in which he collected what was written about his life, then appended it, and Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani summarized it and arranged it in two chapters, the first in the hadiths that were reported from him and known, with the chain of gold, and the second in his influences until his death, and this is the manuscript.
