The author arranged his book into several sections and each chapter into several issues. He covered the research on the dog, its instincts, characteristics, rulings, how to arrange it, the use of it by various religious leaders, the importance of its presence in hunting, and the poetry that was said about it. He mentioned its owner at the end of his handwriting, saying: “When I was traveling to Syria, I passed by the Al-Zahiriyya Library and saw this copy, so I asked the director of the library to copy it, and that was done. The director mentioned that it was the third copy, and in fact I wrote the first for Ahmed Taymur in Egypt, and the second for the Dar Al-Athar library in Egypt.”
