In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, our Sheikh... Atheer al-Din Abu Hayyan said... Praise be to God, the Creator of the forms of knowledge that are brilliant in the mirrors of the minds... And then: The knowledge is many, and they are all important, and the most important of them is what entails eternal life and eternal happiness, and that is the knowledge of the Book of God Almighty... And my arrangement in this book is to begin first by speaking about the vocabulary of the verse that I am interpreting, word for word.
