Chapter on Tanween: The traveler delays Dhuhr until Asr if he travels before the sun sets with Zay and Ghain in the dictionary, that is, before it sets, that is, if he performs Al-Fa’ in it. Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, narrated by Ahmad with the wording, “If it set in his house, he would combine Dhuhr and Asr before riding, and if it had not set in motion for him in his place, he would walk until when the afternoon had descended, then he would combine Dhuhr and Asr.”
