The author was born in the year 817 AH/1414 AD in the town of Jam, grew up in Herat, and died there. He was a jurist, linguist, Sufi, and involved in some sciences. Among his works are: Interpretation of the Noble Qur’an, Al-Durra Al-Fakhira fi Fahqih Sufi Doctrine, The History of Herat, Al-Fawa’id Al-Diya’i fi Sharh Al-Kafiya fi Al-Nahwah by Ibn Al-Hajib, Sharh Al-Risalah Al-Addiya fi Al-Wada’, Sharh Fusus Al-Hikam by Ibn Arabi.
