Many of the outstanding and virtuous students... Satan cast into their hearts falsehood and words devoid of meaning and meaninglessness, which is the denial of the great companion, the great and the dangerous, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, from the Companionship, along with his money in pre-Islamic times, and Islam is of great rank... And among them were those who were very far from the path of rectitude, so he denied his Islam even though the Companionship and Islam are twins... And it will become clear to you that the outcome of this book... is arranged according to principles that are like the chapters, including mentioning the generality of what is in it, and then Waraqah. A balance between his command and the command of Ibn al-Farid, then verses prohibiting allegiance to the oppressors, then hadiths as well, then advising the Companions (may God bless him and grant him peace) with verses and hadiths and other things from the sermon on understanding and the sermon on acceptance by our Sheikh Ibn Hajar, then advising regarding the Quraysh, then love for the sake of God and hatred for Him, then glorifying the pursuit of knowledge and its seekers, especially the people of hadith, then the translation of Zayd ibn Amr, then hadiths about his virtue and the virtue of others, then mentioning the paper (may God bless him and grant him peace). p) And the mention of news and poems in his monotheism, then his telling of the belief of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and in it what is necessary of the restoration of faith in the case of prophecy devoid of a message of disbelieving the followers of the prophets... then the hadith of the two Sahih books, then the hadith of those of the scholars who spoke about it and said with the faith of Waraqah... and he mentioned Zayd bin Amr and the astonishment of those who stopped in his company... then who counted Waraqa in his book on the names of the Companions, then the sum of the translation of the paper in general.
