If someone says: Is what is said in the Qur’an ancient or new? It is said: The word of God Almighty is ancient, eternal, revealed, not created, nor accidented, nor created. It is read on our tongues, written in our copies of the Qur’an, preserved in our chests, as a reality and not a metaphor. Just as God Almighty is mentioned on our tongues, worshiped in our mosques, known in our hearts without abode or transmission. He is exalted that He resides in a thing and nothing is resolved in it. Likewise, His intrinsic attributes and eternal attributes make it impossible for them to reside in anything or for anything to reside in them.
