They have one meaning, which is to recite verses of the Qur’an and collect them in one text, then continue reading them day and night. It is said: The man recited his response...and his party in one sense (Lisan al-Arab by Ibn Manzur 1/621, 3/908 - Al-Qamoos Al-Muhit 1/56,357.
