The author is a scholar involved in types of sciences such as language, grammar, the strange Qur’an and its meanings, the strange hadith, poetry, and news. He resides in Baghdad and spoke there, and he was appointed judge in Dinur and has lineage. Nelino said that perhaps this book is the one that Al-Masoudi referred to in the book, Meadows of Gold. Some of the poems of the Arabs were quoted from him by Mahmoud Shukri Al-Alusi in his book, The Conditions of the Arabs. The copy was written from a written copy in the year 720 AH/1321 AD.
