Perhaps the author of the footnote is Ibn Kamal Pasha (d. 940 AH), as appears from the preamble of the treatise, which is considered essential for Ibn Kamal Pasha. Praise be to his guardian... His saying: “O so-and-so, you have the right.” I say: It is no secret that those mentioned are distinguished by these affairs and symptoms, such as polytheism and hypocrisy, regardless of being shaken by the speech, but one should ignore the symptoms.
