Praise be to God, whose saints are the most distinguished figures of religion... As for what follows: God Almighty has singled out the servants of the people of Sunni knowledge and the members of the Prophet’s Household with the highest honor, and He has bestowed upon them the highest ranks, and He has made their love and affection among the most important of closeness and the highest of rewards, and upholding their enmity and resisting their harm are among the greatest of calamities... So I sought the help of God Almighty in composing a comprehensive message to glorify the rights of these two honors and to fulfill them on both sides. I organize its jewels into two necklaces and divide them into two parts
