وبعد فإنه لما كانت المعاني جواهر والألفاظ أصدافها والحكم معادن والقلوب أهدافها، وجب على من فتحت اليقظة عين بصيرته، وجلت الموعظة عين سريرته، أن يتبع من الكلام معانيه، ومن الحكم ما يبلغ به أمانيه، ولا يقنع من المعدن بدون كنزه، ولا من اللفظ إلا بفهم رمزه، وإني رأيت كثيرا من الألفاظ قد ارتكبت في أغماضها كثير من أهل الاعتراض
