Notes	The author was born and raised in Damascus, and his father was an advanced doctor. Muwaffaq al-Din ibn al-Mutran distinguished himself from the doctors of his time in the field of medicine, and he was the most knowledgeable of its principles. He also read grammar, language, and literature at the hands of Taj al-Din Abi al-Yaman al-Kindi. He served King Saladin Al-Ayyubi in the medical industry, and he converted to Islam during his days and accompanied him during his wars. He had a bookcase containing approximately ten thousand books, most of which were on medicine (Uyun al-Anbaa 2-175-181). The author did not complete this book, and two parts of it are known, and this copy includes only the first part.
