He talks about Meknes, its origins and plans, then about the Berbers and their boasts, then he talks about the Great Mosque of Meknes, its role and facilities, then about the building of the Kasbah of Meknes and its school, and the facilities and antiquities that the Alawite kings renovated there. Then he talks about its description in verses and prose, and deals with the biographies of sultans, princes, notables, and scholars who belong to it, and it is arranged according to the letters of the dictionary. This volume of the publication occupies the first part of it and part of the second part. The manuscript agrees with the printed matter until page 293, then the arrangement of the topics in the printed matter differs from the manuscript.
