| Notes | Tall vessel of lead covered by a thin layer of bronze. The piece has an octagonal base, and a bulbous octagonally faceted body. On each facet of the body there is engraved a highly stylized lotus. The neck is also octagonal. It widens as it rises to the octagonal rim which has vertical sides decorated with a series of horizontal grooves. Two ridges separate the neck from the body. The base is octagonal with its under surface being decorated by a series of concentric circles. Condition: Three holes in the body; spots of incrustation; otherwise good. | more | less |
