Notes	كتاب الخراج Scanning performed from a substitute document. This work was composed at the request of the caliph Al-Hâdî or Haroûn al-Raschîd. It contains a series of advice and legal opinions regarding the manner in which the tax on crops (kharâdj), the tithe of flocks (ʿoschr), the alms tithe (ṣadaqât), the personal tribute imposed on non-Muslims (djawâlî), etc. should be collected. We find a very interesting notice on the great qadi Abou Yousof in the Biographical Dictionary of Ibn Khalli-kân (volume IV, page 272 of the English translation). Beginning: اطال الله بقائه امير المومنين. Ms. dated 1195 A.H. (1781 A.D.). داș الكراك Scanning from a substitute document. كتاب الخراج Scanning performed from a substitute document.
