The dâïr is the arc of the hourly circle which measures the elapsed part of the day, and the increase, or rather the excess (فضل), is the excess of the semi-diurnal arc over the dâïr. (See Delambre, History of astronomy of the Middle Ages, p. 111, 118, 187.) This table is calculated for each minute of the degree, up to 60°. Digitization carried out from an original document: Arabic 2552.
