| Notes | Al-Qur'ān Digitization carried out from a substitute document. Maghreb Waqf act of Sī al-Ḥağğ Aḥmad b. Zaġdūd in favor of the mosque of Sūq al-Ġazāl in Constantine, dated šawwal 1201/July 1786 (f° 2 r°). A letter dated July 3, 1880, from the interpreter Ch. Sabeau, provides a translation of this act. A note in French at the end of the volume indicates that it is the “prayer book of Achmet Bey of Constantine, dethroned in 18372 (2. It is about Aḥmad, last bey of Constantine, deposed by General Clauzel in 1830 and chased from Constantine in 1837. Cf. Arab 586, notice 331.). Found on his table / Excerpts from the Koran”. Note from A. Raffet3 (3. A. Raffet (1804-1860), designer famous for his battle scenes.): “given to Raffet in 1840 by M. G. de Bussy in gratitude for a drawing of the battle at Oued Alleg”.
