Scanning from a substitute document: R 16329. from the collection of Pierre de Brueys (“n°83” at the 1st guard); he carries to the same 1st guard a Persian leaflet with the hand of Qanbar 'Alī accompanied by his stamp dated 1201H. Scanned from a replacement document: R 16329. Anonymous and undated copy. History of the first twelve years of the reign of Šāh ‛Abbās I until Ša‛bān 1006H.(/March 1598), by Siyyāqī Niżām, who wrote it in 1007H.(/1598-9). We find in this copy only the introduction (muqaddima) (f. 2- 23v), with a gap at the end, then the 12th chapter (fatḥ) (f. 24v-140), incomplete at the end. This chapter describes the reconquest of Hurāsān by ‛Abbās I and its copy appears unfinished (f. 140). The ms. contains four paintings [in the style of Šīrāz from the years 1600-1605; maybe ms. was it made for Allah-virdī Hān, governor of Fārs], which are: 1°.-F. 1v (74 x 147 mm) “Šāh ‛Abbās hunts a lion on November 27, 1597 in the plain of Sulṭān Maydān, while general Allah-virdī Hān fights a wild boar”.2°.-F. 2 (73 x 143) “Šāh ‛Abbās on horseback en route to Harāt with his retinue”.3°.-F. 61 (122 x 147) “Battle of Zānī, near Ura Tepe, June 27, 1598; the Iranian armies are led by Yār Muḥammad Mīrzā who throws a deadly arrow at ‛Abd al-Mu’min Hān, sultan of Buhārā”.4°.-F. 88 (124 x 138) “The army of Šāh ‛Abbās routed on August 9, 1598, near Harāt, that of the Uzbek sultan of Buhārā, Dīn-Muḥammad Hān”.
