Copied by the calligrapher QāCopMuiammad iusayn Dār al-Marzī (f. 253) [most certainly in Šīrāz where he was active in 1034 h. Collection of the poetic compositions of Ḥakīm Awḥad al-Dīn, ʿAlī ibn Isḥāq Abīvardī, known as Anvarī (or Ḫavarī in some pieces), who was a panegyrist of the Seljuks and died after 560 h. / 1165-6. Copied by the calligrapher Qāḍī Muḥammad Ḥusayn Dār al-Marzī (f. 253) [most certainly in Šīrāz where he was active in 1034 h. Ex-libris in the name of ʿAnbar, servant of the navvāb Imām Qulī Ḫān [the governor of Fārs who was put to death in 1632]. Oval stamp from ʿAnbar bearing the date 1031 a.m. / 1621-2 and the motto ʿAnbar ḫāq-i qadam-i ʿAlī-st (f. 253). Same stamp scratched on f. 4. According to a note in f. 2, this manuscript was purchased in 1036 h / 1627 in Kābūl for 25 muhur "from the butler (Hwaja-sarāy) of Imām Qulī Ḥān, governor of Šīrāz". At the same f. 2, buyer's stamp, Zafar Ḫān, banda-i Šāh-Jahān, with date 1038 h. / 1629, 1st year of the julūs of the emperor [Šāh-Jahāh]. On the back of the last guard, Anvarī's name is written in Devanagari. According to a notice signed by him stuck to f. 1v, this manuscript purchased by him came from the library of the Šāh of Persia and it was sent by him in 1740 from Basra to the Royal Library (cf. Omont, 1902, II p. 763-4). Around 1750, it received a number "124" (f. 1 and 1v). Notice by P. Armain (f. 1).
