Sample Text ʿOmdat al-moudjahidin fi tartib al-mayadin Digitization carried out from an original document: Arabic 6604. Digitization carried out from a substitution document. Comprising the ʿOmdat al-moudjahidin fi tartib al-mayadin (folio 2 verso), in which the Mamluk emir Hosam al-Din Ladjin, known under the nicknames al-Tarabolosi and al-Rammah, explains the evolutions of a cavalry troop, accompanying his text with diagrams in gold ink; a booklet, without title or author's name, on the combat of the horseman armed with the mace, and similar questions (folio 12 verso); the commentary, by Mohammad ibn Abil-Ram, disciple of the master Loulou al-Aʿazz, on a poetry rhyming in lam, composed by Salih al-Shaghouri, on the principles of archery, its modalities, and its rules (folio 19 verso); treatise, without title or author's name, on archery, in which the authority of ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Tabari is invoked (folio 25 recto); these treatises are followed (folio 48 recto) by two pages, in a slightly more recent hand, containing prescriptions on all the curses from which domestic animals must be protected. ʿOmdat al-moudjahidin fi tartib al-mayadin Scanning from an original document: Arabic 6604.
