(f. 1v): Praise be to God, the Most Gracious, who taught the Qur’an the creation of man (...) The sinful servant and the second accustomed one, Karim ibn Ibrahim, says: “This is a reminder for the righteous, a lesson for those who cross, a relief for those seeking help, and guidance for the lost.” Exp. (f. 92): And grant success to all our fellow believers in acting on what is in it and knowing what is contained in its apparent and hidden meanings. The completion of its drawing was the morning of Monday the twenty-seventh of the sacred month of Dhul-Qa’dah, one of the months of the year seventy-third after the hundred and one thousand. I say, praise be to God who guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had God not guided us. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master, the bringer of tidings, the warner, the guide, Muhammad, and his good family, and ask forgiveness from God for the humiliation of feet. And the error of dreams is that He is Forgiving and Merciful. Copy on March 19, 1300 hours. / 30 December 1882 for the sake of God by Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Kawhabanānī (f. 92).
