Al-Qur'ān Digitization carried out from a substitute document. IndiaCopy completed on Wednesday 16 šawwal 1191/17 November 1777 in Farašanagah by Muḥammad Madārī (or Mudārī), “during the time of the Europeans” (colophon in Persian, f° 456 v°); the copyist who executed the ms for Aussant. Arab National Library 577, notice 555 and Arabic correction 573, notice 556, is ?ayẖ Muḥammad Zamān b. ?ayẖ Pīr Muḥammad of the mawḍiʿ of Arğura, which is attached to the qiṣba of Ḥazrat Pandwa Čakala Bardavān of the sarkār of Satgaon (on the Hooghly, cf. A historical atlas of south Asia, pl. XIII, B. 2) according to the colophon of other manuscripts copied for Aussant (cf. Bibliothèque Nationale suppl. Persan 119, 327 and 480).
