In this cosmography, the author first speaks of cities, countries, seas and islands, rivers and especially the Nile, remarkable springs (عيون), wells (بير) and mountains. There follows a notice on the pyramids, another on the Coptic festivals, then some observations on the Coptic calendar and on the names of the months among the Arabs, the Copts and the Persians. The author completed his work in 922 A.H. (1516 A.D.). (See, on this work, a notice by Langlès, in volume VIII of Notices and Extracts.) Ms. dated from the year 1018 AH (1609 A.D.).
