Incipit (f. 1v): This is the biography of Alexander Dhul-Qarnayn, and it contains hadiths... The author of the hadith said about its signs and its beginning and how it was the reason for its beginning and the transfer of its affairs. He wrote this book from the book of history by Al-Masudi, may God have mercy on him... The author of the hadith said that he was in the time of disbelief after Suleiman... Explicit (f. 141v): He said that the year of his departure to conquer the country and guide the people and the amount of his departure until his death was eighteen years... and this is what happened from his biography and His experience, and praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
