Notes	Documentary testimony of the administrative work of the Institute, in the development of its general functions as a public body: personnel, economic and patrimonial resource management, general records of entry and exit of documents, etc. The majority corresponds to the period 1932-1983. It includes: A.2.1. Communications and administrative organization -- A.2.2. Human resources -- A.2.3. Economic resources -- A.2.4. Heritage resources -- A.2.5. External relations and legal affairs. Inventory in excel format (2011-2013). According to the Regulations of the School of Arab Studies, the Secretary-Administrator had to perform the bureaucratic functions of an economic, academic and administrative nature of the School in its relations with the governing bodies (Board of Trustees, Management and Collegiate Bodies), the staff and the public (registration of students, formation of budgets, accountability, administrative correspondence, etc.). The first secretary was Alfonso Gámir Sandoval, who received his appointment in 1939. The first administrator was José Fajardo Sevilla. Since 1940 when he joined the CSIC until today, the general administration and secretariat has fallen to successive officials of this organization.
