Font flow in opposite directions on the front and back. Colons were used for punctuation. — black — Uyghur script → Square script — paper — Buddhist narrative text about Mahā Kāśyapa, the famous disciple of the Buddha. In
The surviving part of the text is about the young man Pippalāyana, who owned the house
wants to leave to become a monk. His parents are preparing to take their son away
to convince people to live a life appropriate to their status. Pippalāyana replies that he does not
wants to get married. After asking three times, the son apparently obeys her wishes
parents, but sets the condition that the woman should be an ideal girl
like the pure gold painting he commissioned. (Zieme 2015d)
