Semi-Block Script The writing pattern on the Old Uighur reverse differs from that on the Chinese
Front off. The paper was rotated 180° for writing. Brāhmī script used
(for words of Tocharian origin) is inserted horizontally. For more on this, see BT 38, 307
and BT 38, 10-13. Marked in bold in the entry. — black — Uyghur script → Square script — paper — Unidentified Buddhist text. Given the only readable word in Brāhmī script
